Our family has been long supporting of animal shelters and has given time and funds to the local SPCA.  We want to continue that tradition and help in anyway we can so we are spreading the word.

Just saying "Good day to everyone!"

 I have always found this to be an interesting topic.  Can dogs and cats really get along? Well, that depends...on the dog and the cat in question.  From personal experience, I was about eight weeks old (Buddy, the yellow lab) when Bob (the big gray tabby) welcomed me into my adopted home.  My human parents were over-joyed.  Bob was not.  Most people are not shocked to learn this.  Bob was pretty cool for the most part.  He did bop me in the nose to let me know I was over stepping boundaries.  Occasionally, he would let me chase him for a short while so I had someone to play with but after five minutes of playing, Bob would find a chair to retreat to.

 Some of the best memories I have of Bob were many.  We actually enjoyed hanging out on the couch together, especially when there was a wicked storm brewing outside and it was freezing.  True, it could have been that we bonded over the frosty weather and we had to share a couch.  I would tell myself that, at the very least, we had a couch to share - and both of us weren't thrown outside to fend for ourselves.  We had pretty loving parents.

Whenever mom would take me for a walk, sometimes Bob would follow us for some of the way.  I think it was cool that he was curious enough to see where it was that we went.  I think Bob was protective of me in a big brother sort of way.  He would let me get away with chasing him when the urge came over me in my spazzy puppy fashion.  Bob wasn't as near as tolerant to other dogs, so I guess I was a little special to him.

Just found out our parents are going on a quick camping trip.  We are working on convincing them to let us come with them.  We would give much added value, like helping to clean up the plates and ward off any pesky raccoons - and they are quite aggressive.  They even try to come into the tents while our parents are sleeping.  Well, it's been fun chatting for a bit.  See ya all soon!  Buddy n Scout
